Established in 1985 by the late Stephen J Dimmock, whom was a time served toolmaker of 50 years. Working in various different companies up until 1985, he then decided to go it on his own and form S J Dimmock Engineering, which just so happened to be the same year as the successor, his son Jamie Dimmock was born. Stephen spent many years training and passing on his vast knowledge and wisdom to Jamie, who now runs all the day to day business at S J Dimmock Engineering.

Jamie himself is a time served toolmaker of 25 years and has built up quite a portfolio of capabilities, from designing components using CAD, designing the injection moulds, to manufacturing the complete moulds using all of the material removal processes available to him at S J Dimmock engineering.

In the past they have served such sectors and created injection moulds for the Automotive, Aerospace, Formula 1 motor racing, Food and Drink, Home and leisure industries working to very tight tolerances

of +/- 0.005mm and specifically meeting the surface finish requirements of their customers whether it be high gloss polished for transparency, Matt/ sparked finish, to martex/ textured finishing.

Stephen always prided himself on creating Injection moulds to withstand the test of time, and always opted to use the very best materials and ancillaries available for manufacture. Something of which Jamie has adopted and will always continue to do.
